WARRIOR pt. 1 

WHEN IT’S TIME TO THROW A PUNCH

The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is his name. Exodus 15:3 NIV 

“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.” Matthew 10:34 NIV 

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. 12His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. ...  

13He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. … 15Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. ... 16On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords. Revelation 19:11-13, 15-16 NIV 

GOD HAS GIVEN EVERY WARRIOR

SOMEONE TO PROTECT. 

… “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.” Nehemiah 4:14 NIV 

A KINGDOM TO ADVANCE. 

When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, 2and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. Luke 9:1-2 NIV 

A BATTLE TO WIN! 

Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. Psalm 144:1 NIV 

Victory isn’t always what you conquer later.

Victory is being faithful and obedient today.

Say to the nations far and wide: “Get ready for war! Call out your best warriors. Let all your fighting men advance for the attack. 10Hammer your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Train even your weaklings to be warriors. 11Come quickly, all you nations everywhere. Gather together in the valley.” And now, O Lord, call out your warriors! Joel 3:9-11 NLT
