Heal Your Hurting Mind pt.2
Pastor Sam Goins
You’re a spirit with a soul that lives in a body.
Salvation is instant, but sanctification is a process.
They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. 23He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” 24He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” 25Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. Mark 8:22–25 NIV
1. TAP INTO THE POWER OF PEOPLE (BE THAT POWER FOR SOMEONE AS WELL)
They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. Mark 8:22
"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2
"Admit your faults to one another and pray for each other so that you may be healed." James 5:16a LB
Never underestimate what God can do when you simply bring someone to Jesus.
2. POWER OF THE MIDDLE IS IN THE PRESENCE OF JESUS
[Jesus] took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” 24He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” Mark 8:23-24 NIV
Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don't let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires. Romans 13:14 NLT
Partial healing is not failed healing; it’s healing in progress.
Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” 24He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” Romans 8:24
"He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6
"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalms 46:10a NIV
3. WE ALL NEED THE POWER OF A SECOND TOUCH
Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. … Mark 8:25 NIV
"Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians 4:16
